Collinson Fencing uses 100mm x 100mm softwood timber posts as standard which are concreted into the ground as a sturdy support for your new fencing. New timber rails are then fixed to the posts and then new 100mm x 19mm softwood pales are then fixed to the rails. The pales are either butted together or can have a gap of your choice. Please note that even if the pales are butted together they are a living thing and may shrink and leave a small gap between pales.
Hardwood Timber Fence or Softwood Timber Fence
Your new Timber Fence can be erected in either softwood or hardwood. It really is your decision which you go for. Hardwood Timber Fencing will obviously last longer but that advantage would be reflected in the overall cost of the fence. The softwood Timber Fence option is still a very good option and by far the most popular choice for most people and will certainly last long enough.
