These three removable bollards were installed by Collinson Fencing at Browns Plains Logan, just south of Brisbane, Queensland. Primarily to help prevent ram raids but also to prevent unauthorised vehicular access.
Removable Bollards
The bollards selected by the client were the Removable Bollards that 90mm diameter and extend 1000mm out of the ground. They are fitted into a sleeve that is concreted into the ground that has a flap to close the sleeve when the bollard is not in place but also fits to a latch that can be padlocked. Padlocks are not supplied as standard with the bollards so you can put your own one on there to match other locks you may have.
The thickness of the bollards is 90mm diameter with a 5mm wall thickness making these bollards particularly stable and secure. They are hot dipped galvanised before being coloured yellow for safety and awareness with a red and white reflective strip.
Core Drilling
For a neat finish to the works this client opted for a core drilled finish which can be seen in the pictures on the right. The Concrete Core Drilling on this job was carried out by Pat Kelly and Sons.
